Just based on the gameplay description I think most players should already have a good idea of whether they will like Poly Bridge 2. You will have to build a lot of them if you want to succeed as they are the most efficient shape at distributing weight. As this game is based off of engineering/physics your friend in Poly Bridge 2 is triangles. To place a piece of road or support structure you have to click on one of these anchor points and then either click another anchor to snap them together or an empty space to create a new anchor point. To build the support structure you will use a system of anchor points to connect support pieces together or to connect them to the road. You need to build a support structure for your bridge in order to distribute the weight so the bridge doesn’t collapse.

As gravity exists in Poly Bridge 2 though this is not enough.

In most levels you will begin by placing the road pieces which the vehicles will drive on. All of these types of materials have different costs and strengths. These mostly involve different types of road and materials to build support beams. The game has a number of different materials that you can utilize. If it fails or you want to make improvements you can return to the build menu and quickly tweak your design.Īs for building your bridge the game utilizes an anchor point system. Once you have finished building you can run the simulation to see if your bridge/ramp/etc gets the vehicle to its location or whether it breaks at some point. You likely are going to have to build a bridge of some sort, but ramps and other contraptions are sometimes warranted. In most cases you are given one or more vehicles that have to make their way across a gap. Like the original Poly Bridge in each level you are given a situation that you have to overcome.

Poly bridge trial#
Despite quite a bit of trial and error and some hilarious failures along the way, Poly Bridge 2 gives you everything you could ever want for a fun and challenging bridge building puzzle game. As a fan of puzzle games in general I have always been kind of intrigued by this genre of puzzle games. While I have yet to play the original Poly Bridge I have enjoyed other games from this genre so I was really intrigued to check out Poly Bridge 2. There have been a number of different bridge building games created in the past. Basically the premise of the game was to create a bridge or other contraption that would help get vehicles across a gap. I am not trying to diss Apple in any way this is just my opinion and I could be wrong so you don’t have to believe me.Originally released just a little under four years ago the original Poly Bridge became a pretty big hit considering that it is an engineering puzzle game. Apple had said I didn’t qualify even though I had wrote about the controls and the sandbox but they ignored me, I feel like Apple has given up and is now just in it for the money which is annoying since we are to rely on them for help, refunds and recommendations. I had asked for a refund but I didn’t qualify so I have a game that has bad controls and is very frustrating to play. When placing things down it was hard because the items would snap weirdly and then I would have to go back and fix it all by using another tool which was time consuming and made me frustrated that it was taking long. I was trying to move the screen but instead I had added lots of wood stabilizers when I didn’t want that so I had to redo everything by deleting the whole bridge and restarting which was hard because I had forgotten the way the bridge had looked in the first place. The game controls on the IPhone is awful and has a 1in5 chances for it actually working correctly and the way I want it to work. I am only 14 and I thought this game was going to be good but instead it was crappy.
